AFP Journalist Killed by Rocket Fire in Intense Battle Near Bakhmut

A video journalist working for Agence France-Presse, the French information company, was killed by rocket hearth close to the city of Chasiv Yar in japanese Ukraine, A.F.P. stated on Tuesday. Mr. Soldin, a French nationwide who was born in Bosnia, was “brave, artistic and tenacious. He was above all a superb journalist who was completely dedicated to the story,” Phil Chetwynd, A.F.P.’s world information director, stated in a press release.

France’s president, Emmanuel Macron, paid tribute to Mr. Soldin on Tuesday, tweeting that he had courageously been on the entrance from the primary hours of the battle “to ascertain the information. To tell us.” He added, “We share the ache of his family members and all his colleagues.”
