4 of the 5 cities with the worst air high quality on the planet are in North America, together with New York, a grim distinction fueled by devastating forest fires throughout Canada which have despatched smoky air throughout the continent, in line with knowledge tracked by IQAir.

New York Metropolis now has the second-worst air high quality on the planet with a recorded air high quality index of 162, lagging solely Jakarta.

Toronto and Montreal rank as No.3 and No. 4, reporting an AQI of 155 and 153, respectively.
