New York Metropolis banned TikTok on government-owned gadgets Wednesday, pointing to safety issues which have made the app a goal of bipartisan scrutiny throughout the nation.

Congress already voted to ban TikTok on federal gadgets final yr and a number of other states have taken related steps.
