The pinnacle of low-cost airline AirAsia has deleted a social media publish apparently displaying him taking a enterprise assembly whereas topless and receiving a therapeutic massage after it sparked heavy criticism.

Tony Fernandes wrote in a LinkedIn publish accompanying the image on Monday: “Received to like Indonesia and AirAsia tradition that I Can [sic] have a therapeutic massage and do a administration assembly.”

He stated the therapeutic massage had been advised by a colleague.

Social media customers had been fast to criticize the publish, with many saying it will make workers uncomfortable and was extremely inapproriate. Some expressed bemusement that he would share it publicly, as others stated it confirmed an absence of PR vetting.

“So unprofessional and disrespectful,” wrote one person on social platform X, previously often known as Twitter.

Fernandes is chief govt of Malaysia-based Capital A Berhad, the Malaysia-based group behind AirAsia and different manufacturers. He acquired what was then a struggling low-cost airline from the Malaysian authorities in 2001 and has since constructed it into a serious regional participant flying to greater than 150 locations throughout 25 international locations.
