Telkom, a number one telecommunications Firm in South Africa, introduced the commencement of 139 staff from its Managers of Managers (MoMP) and Foundational Administration (FMP) programmes in collaboration with the College of Cape City’s Graduate College of Enterprise (UCT GSB).

Dedicating Assets to Shaping Future Leaders

The initiative was born out of a strategic partnership between Telkom and UCT GSB the place we devoted our sources to domesticate and improve our inside management capabilities.

The collaboration goals to fortify our expertise pipeline, nurturing people who embody the values of innovation, resilience, and ahead considering.

Advocating Lifelong Studying

On the core of this effort lies our agency perception within the energy of schooling and steady studying. As advocates of lifelong studying, we prioritise the expansion and improvement of our staff, understanding that their success reverberates past our partitions.

The commencement ceremony, held on Tuesday, 28 November 2023 on the Johannesburg Nation Membership, marks a major milestone in Telkom’s dedication to empowering its staff and fostering steady skilled improvement.

Among the many graduates are people who’ve efficiently accomplished postgraduate diplomas and superior diplomas from the celebrated College of Cape City.

Life-Altering Alternative

The Managers of Managers and Foundational Administration programmes is designed for junior and center administration ranges throughout the organisation.   The suggestions obtained from the contributors is overwhelmingly constructive, with many expressing gratitude for the life-changing alternative.

Andile Khanyile from Telkom Shopper and Small Enterprise, one of many graduates, shared his expertise. “Graduating with an Adv. Dip. in Administration Growth from UCT GSB is a transformative expertise. It has deeply influenced my skilled improvement and considerably formed my profession aspirations”.

Empowering Staff to Fill Management Positions

Andile says the abilities and information acquired have positioned “… me for management roles, and this system’s emphasis on steady studying has instilled a dedication to ongoing skilled improvement.”

Echoing Andile’s sentiments, one other graduate, Phillip Manyama from BCX, speaks the significance of making use of the learnings from the Programmme.  “I’m very wanting to share information on how we are able to optimise the present instruments we’ve got to compete higher in a really aggressive market. I’ve began implementing efficiencies which have seen my colleagues and I work extra successfully,” he says.
