Jake Sullivan, the nationwide safety adviser, performed down variations between the U.S. and Israel on the conflict towards Hamas in Gaza and declined to publicly focus on a timetable for Israel to reduce its navy marketing campaign.

When Israel launched this marketing campaign to root out the terrorist risk that Hamas poses to the state of Israel, it made clear from the start that this conflict would proceed in phases. There isn’t a contradiction between saying the battle goes to take months and in addition saying that completely different phases will happen at completely different occasions over these months, together with the transition from the high-intensity operations to extra focused operations.
