Avelo expands its map with 3 new routes, 2 new cities

Avelo is once more increasing its community with three new nonstop routes and two new locations.

The brand new airports becoming a member of Avelo’s route map are Alabama’s Cell Worldwide Airport (BFM) and South Carolina’s Greenville-Spartanburg Worldwide Airport (GSP). The ultra-low-cost startup introduced Thursday that it’ll fly from every of these airports to Orlando Worldwide Airport (MCO). Avelo will even fly from GSP to Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) in Connecticut.

Flights from BFM to MCO start Could 31 and function twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. Avelo’s growth to Cell is an attention-grabbing one.

At present, the Alabama airport has no business air service. Frontier Airways was the final service to serve the airport, and it beforehand operated flights to Chicago’s O’Hare Worldwide Airport (ORD) and Denver Worldwide Airport (DEN).

With Avelo’s arrival, the Houston-based service would be the solely service flying from the airport. BFM is positioned nearer to downtown Cell than the metro space’s main airport, Cell Regional Airport (MOB), which is served by the regional associates of American Airways, Delta Air Strains and United Airways. For now, BFM is primarily used for normal aviation and army operations, and it is close to Airbus’ U.S. meeting line. The Cell Airport Authority, which runs each airports, has stated it intends to ultimately shift all frequently scheduled business service to BFM.

Avelo’s new flights from BFM to MCO begin at a low $29 one-way.

Avelo plans to start out twice-weekly flights between GSP and MCO on June 7. Flights from GSP to MCO will likely be accessible on Wednesdays and Saturdays, however the service stated it’ll transition to flying on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning June 23.

In addition to Orlando, Avelo will even fly from GSP to its base in New Haven, Connecticut, with twice-weekly service beginning June 22. Flights between GSP and HVN will run on Thursdays and Sundays.

Avelo will turn out to be the seventh service to fly from GSP, becoming a member of Allegiant Air, American, Delta, United, Silver Airways and Southwest Airways.

Andrew Levy, the CEO of Avelo, lauded the addition of the three new routes.

“We’re excited to introduce South Carolina’s Upcountry and Cell, Alabama to Avelo’s low fares, industry-leading reliability, and caring service,” he stated in an announcement.
