Avelo’s growth to Wisconsin comes at a time when smaller airports like CWA have struggled to keep up service.

At the moment, Delta flies from CWA to its hub in Minneapolis-St. Paul Worldwide Airport (MSP), and American Airways operates flights to ORD.
The addition of CWA falls according to the fast-growing startup’s enterprise mannequin, which operates flights from smaller and underserved airports to widespread leisure locations. Avelo has additionally skilled a surge in progress the previous yr, including new and smaller airports in cities like Salem, Oregon, and Dubuque, Iowa, to its map. In the meantime, it has additionally been turning main leisure locations like Las Vegas into bases.
Missy Hughes, Wisonsin’s Financial Improvement Company secretary, stated she believed Avelo’s presence in CWA would create extra jobs within the area.
“This can create alternatives for enterprise and leisure journey and make central Wisconsin an much more enticing place to stay, work, and develop,” Hughes stated in a press release.
