EGYPT : Cairo throws hat into ring to chair African Union in 2024

For a number of weeks the North Africa area has been unable to decide on between Morocco and Algeria for the primary vice presidency of the African Union. Cairo has now thrown its hat into the ring within the hope of resolving the deadlock.
