Colombian police are investigating an acid assault perpetrated towards a human rights activist, Lilia Patricia Cardozo, within the nation’s northwestern Boyaca area, in response to the town’s council.

Cardozo is the director of a womens’ rights NGO known as Plataforma Feminista Boyacense (Boyacense Feminist Platform), which works to finish home abuse, gender violence and discrimination, together with rescuing victims from the fingers of abusers.
