Nashua Kopano, an enterprise workspace options supplier, plans to broaden its partnership with the Gauteng Metropolis-Area Academy (GCRA) past providing bursaries to aiding in growing on-the-job ICT expertise. Within the preliminary three years of the partnership, Nashua Kopano supported over 90 college students with funding for tertiary training.

GCRA, a Gauteng authorities company, fosters a talented expertise pool by means of applications like bursaries, internships, and management initiatives. Companions like Nashua Kopano assist profession and academic alternatives for deprived youth.

Nashua Kopano partnered with GCRA in 2019, pledging R 500,000 yearly for ICT research for high-achieving black feminine learners. So far, they’ve granted bursaries to over 90 learners, and this partnership extends till 2024. It intends to supply internships and potential employment alternatives to bursary recipients upon commencement.

Moreover, Nashua Kopano goals to collaborate with enterprise companions to put college students in internships, facilitating sensible on-the-job expertise and expertise. Bursaries and internships can be found to deprived male learners, aligning with the dedication to advance ICT expertise for the trade and financial system.

Thabiso Matau, an aspiring software program engineer and bursary recipient, expressed reduction upon acceptance, highlighting the importance of the chance to realize internship expertise in a tech firm.

Chris Kruger, MD of Nashua, emphasised that funding training and entry-level expertise stay vital obstacles for a lot of younger folks in Gauteng. Their partnership intends not solely to help gifted youth from underprivileged backgrounds in financing their research but additionally to equip them with sensible expertise to launch their careers.

Percy Moleke, CEO of GCRA, underscored the significance of youth improvement, talent creation, and catalyzing socioeconomic alternatives for the Gauteng Provincial Authorities. The collaboration with Nashua Kopano enhances the province’s competitiveness and creates employment alternatives within the rising ICT sector, in the end enhancing lives.
