The corporate launched a beta model of “A.” — pronounced “A dot” — in South Korea in Might final yr and has been boosting the product’s capabilities forward of a full-scale launch.

SKT added a characteristic referred to as “Chat T” to A. that’s powered by the expertise behind ChatGPT, primarily based on Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI cloud computing service. Customers can immediate the chatbot for solutions, simply as they’ll with ChatGPT.

SKT has tried to place A. as a unique proposition to ChatGPT. A. has a lot of cartoon avatars that customers can work together with. SKT mentioned it has introduced extra AI brokers named “A. buddies” to the product, outfitted with conversational AI expertise “that permits emotional and human-like conversations.”

“By participating in conversations with ‘A. buddies’, customers can obtain counseling and recommendation on all kinds of subjects,” SKT mentioned.
