SOMALIA/AFRICAN UNION : The African Union set for additional discussions on ATMIS

The African Union’s Peace and Safety Council will on 27 April talk about the way forward for the AU peacekeeping mission in Somalia (ATMIS). The pressure had been scheduled to withdraw by December 2024 however President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud desires it to remain.
