Colin Erasmus, the Chief Operations Officer at Microsoft South Africa, highlighted the significance of recognizing the worth of the retail workforce, which he referred to as the “deskless workforce”. The IDC researchers behind the research performed intensive interviews with frontline staff and their managers for his or her report titled “Empowering Retail Associates in South Africa.” They found that 38% of South African retail associates contemplate their working hours lengthy and their schedules rigid, leading to elevated stress and attrition.

Nonetheless, an amazing 81% of these surveyed believed that know-how might allow them to carry out their jobs extra successfully. The IDC predicts that investments in digital platforms and automatic studying applied sciences can lead to a 40% enhance in organizational productiveness.
